Our Sunday School classes start at 9:45am. Join us, and bring a friend!

Foundations

Room 204

The Foundations class is an eclectic mix, both in demographics and subject matter. We have members including college students, parents (with kids from elementary to college to grown), retirees, singles, and couples. We cycle between periods of Bible discussion (with no strong connection from week to week) and multi-week book studies. Sometimes we skip the lesson and just talk. Regardless of our topic, we prioritize sharing, laughter, and friendship, as we strive to apply the plain and hidden lessons of God to our daily lives.

Cornerstone

Room 203

The Cornerstone Sunday School class is a small adult class that studies God’s Word through the UMC Adult Bible Series.  Format consists of short overview of scripture and weekly lesson followed up with discussion.

Koinonia

Room 206

This is a discussion oriented, Biblical-based class. The discussions and chosen study materials are aimed at challenging the members to live the Christian life God desires for us. All are welcome. The current general age range falls from mid/late career to recent retirees.

Agape

Room 201

The Agape class of senior adults includes longtime Mafair members and newcomers, couples and singles. Our motto is “Reaching Out in Love.” We invite you to join us for faithful Bible study, lively book discussions, supportive prayers, and fellowship.

Building Loyal Friends

Room 107

This class of senior adults uses a structured lesson book consisting of Scripture and curriculum. Lessons are designed to help understand the Bible’s influence in Christian life and how it enables us to become better disciples for Christ.  This class is not primarily a discussion group, leaving interpretation of Scripture to the scholars who prepared the lessons; however, comments and questions are always welcome.
